This Giving Tuesday, you have the power to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families facing some of life’s most challenging moments. At Foothills Compassionate Care, we provide compassionate hospice and palliative care, grief support, and caregiver education to our community—all with dignity, respect, and love.
Why Give to Foothills Compassionate Care?
- Every Moment Matters: We serve over 500 patients annually, ensuring they and their families receive the care they need during life’s final chapter.
- Supporting Unmet Needs: Your donation helps cover critical non-reimbursable services like grief counseling, caregiver respite, and community education.
- A Trusted Community Partner: As Nevada County’s only nonprofit hospice provider, we prioritize people over profits, ensuring that every dollar goes back into the care of our community.
Together, We Can Create a Compassionate Community
- $25 provides essential personal care items for patients (i.e., bed sheets, blankets, mattress protectors, socks)
- $50 covers the cost of materials required to provide caregiving education to families and community partners
- $100 provides additional therapeutic services not covered by Medicare to enhance patient comfort
- $500 offers income-qualifying patients a Caregiver Grant to provide loved ones with caregiving support and respite
- $1,500 covers the unreimbursed cost of supplemental visits by the Care Team (doctor, hospice nurse, hospice aide, spiritual care)
- $2,000 covers one year of specialized palliative services for patients with a life-limiting diagnosis
How to Give
- Donate: There are many ways you can support our mission. Here are a few: Make a monthly donation, name us in your estate, gift stocks, or make a qualified charitable distribution.
- Spread the Word: Share our Giving Tuesday campaign on social media to inspire others to give.
- Become an Advocate: Encourage your friends and family to play the Death Deck, complete a 5 Wishes packet or Get your affairs in order.
Your support ensures that no one in our community faces serious illness or the end of life without care, comfort, and dignity. This Giving Tuesday, join us in building a legacy of love and support.
